"NPO Think of Satoyama" did GM workshops on the last weekend supported by Zenrin, which is a one of biggest company of maps in Japan. Kids and their parents teamed up together for map making. This workshop took placed at a center of Kitakyushu-city (southern part of Japan), which was the one of biggest polluted city in '60. The Government, Corporations and citizens have collaborated together to turn "polluted city" to "sustainable city". And here they are!

20 pair was participated on the workshop. We found fishes, green energy, share bike, trashes on the river, illegal-parked-bike and so on.read more »

From Green TV-Seeking developing country journalists
The CCMP 2009 fellowships will run over a nine month period starting this July. Fellows will build and strengthen their skills in climate change reporting by drawing on a range of training resources provided by the CCMP, including expert editorial mentoring by senior environment editors, networking with other environmental journalists from around the world, a matchmaking service with hundreds of key climate experts and the opportunity to attend and report on the critical international climate negotiations in Copenhagen.
Women journalists are particularly encouraged to apply. Journalists may apply for only one of the two types of fellowship. If you know appropriate journalists, please let them know this program. read more »

7月20日（日）の朝日新聞関西版朝刊に、 グリーンマップの紹介記事1Ｐと「キッズグリーンマップ＠大阪・中之島」が、見開き2Ｐで大々的に掲載されました。

このプロジェクトは、夏休みの宿題は勿論のこと、海外などでは定例化 している地域の大人が世話する子どものためのサマーキャンプのプログラムや夏の特別授業、また学校での年間環境学習などにグリーンマップを役立ててもらおうと、グリーンマップジャパンと朝日新聞広告局が協働で取り組んだものです。read more »

6月16-18日、第2回グリーンマップ・アジアハブ会議が開催されました。2005年の愛知万博開催の折、開催されたアジアハブ会議は、アジア各国のマップメーカーに様々な情報とインスピレーションを与え、その後の自国での活動にいろいろな面で実りを見せています。今回は、前回愛知に集まった創設ディレクター-ウェンディー、インドネシア、台湾、はじめ、新しくタイ、香港のマップメーカーが加わり充実した会議となりました。日本からは、グリーンマップあいちディレクター、中川恵子とグリーンマップジャパン理事長、右衛門佐（よもさ）美佐子が参加しました。read more »
